ABSTRACT
A new spermidine, named lyrium spermidine A (1), was isolated from the fruits of Lycium ruthenicum Murr, together with 11 known compounds: N1-caffeoyl-N3-dihydrocaffeoyl spermidine (2), N-monocinnamoylputrescine (3), malvidin (4), peonidin 3-O-[6-O-(4-O-E-p-coumaroyl-O-α-rhamnopyranosyl)-β-glucopyranoside]-5-O-β-glucopyranoside (5), petunidin 3-O-[6-O-(4-O-E-p-coumaroyl-O-α-rhamnopyranosyl)-β-glucopyranoside]-5-O-β-glucopyranoside (6), protocatechuic acid (7), ferulic acid (8), 4-(p-cumaroyl)-methyl-L-rhamnoside (9), p-coumarinic acid (10), rutin (11), and quercetin (12). Compounds 2–10 were isolated for the first time from the species Lycium ruthenicum. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including 1D, 2D (HSQC and HMBC), NMR, and HR-ESI-MS.
