ABSTRACT
Abstract The correct estimation of ambulance travel time is an extremely important issue from the perspective healthcare and security citizens. In some events, threat to health or life injured person increases with each minute waiting for ambulance. authors this article analyzed how ambulances throughout entire Lesser Poland voivodeship in southern Poland. Based on analysis 300 million GPS records that were collected over several years ambulances, real speed characteristics compiled most cities region. obtained results regarding used understand correlation between speed, density road network, built-up areas a given city. Furthermore, impact traffic, day, day week, season was also examined. influence use ambulances’ lights/sirens culmination research presentation theoretical foundations coverage maps method implementing them based determined characteristics. presented studies show at which move very local phenomenon. Also, relatively constant average whole week found. Moreover, difference signaled non-signaled trips observed. as input data development dynamic maps, are invaluable tool supporting decisions dispatchers.
