ABSTRACT
Abstract Carbon aerogels find application in many fields. In most of the applications, they are used as powders and thus need to be pulverized. However, pulverization could induce various changes microstructure carbon aerogels. The extent depends not only on dominant forces technique, but also mechanical structural properties initial monolithic samples. present work, we discuss influence grinding, milling shaker cryo-mill, planetary ball mill stiff, ductile flexible Scanning electron microscopy transmission images, gas sorption techniques, wide-angle X-ray scattering, Raman spectroscopy show a strong dependency introduced energy amount while structure modification. Results that stiff do undergo noticeable changes. contrast, very sensitive friction forces. Soft drastic microstructure.
