ABSTRACT
Porous-Ti6Al4V (P-Ti6Al4V) alloys were produced using the hot pressing and spacer methods for hard tissue biomedical applications in particular, effects of porosity on mechanical morphological properties structures investigated. P-Ti6Al4V having homogeneously distributed porosities at 41.08, 52.37 64.10% fabricated by adding 40, 50 60% spherical magnesium (Mg) powder with 350 μm particle sizes average as spacers evaporating via atmosphere-controlled sintering. The obtained porous characterized SEM, XRD EDS. Furthermore, strength elastic modulus evaluated performing compression tests. Elastic densities found to be 40-171 MPa, 2-5 GPa 1.59-2.61, respectively these values have been shown decrease an increase porosity. achieved density property values, are close human bone within acceptable ranges application purposes. In addition, it was also out from analysis that macropores responsible anisotropy contributed formation homogeneous inter-connected open pores.
