Design of Connecting Cable for RMP Power Supply in EAST TOKAMAK

ABSTRACT
In EAST TOKAMAK, resonant magnetic perturbation (RMP) coils are set to research edge localized mode, resistive wall mode and error field correction. The connecting cable is used to connect the power supply and RMP coils. This paper has theoretical calculation and simulation results for different kinds of cables. According to the design requirements of thermal stability and mechanical stability, the water cooling copper coaxial-cable is chosen. The temperature rise test proves that the design scheme is feasible and reasonable.
