Associations between Psychosocial Working Conditions and Work-Specific Self-Efficacy Beliefs Among Employees Receiving Psychotherapeutic Consultation at Work

ABSTRACT
Abstract Purpose By considering work-related aspects during early intervention and treatment of employees with (subclinical) symptoms common mental disorders, p sycho t herapeutic consultation at w ork (PT-W) aims to increase work-specific self-efficacy (SE) finally reduce sickness absence contribute successful return work. This study, thus, investigate interrelations between working conditions SE among before receiving PT-W. Methods The study uses baseline data a randomized controlled trial testing the efficacy PT-W in Germany (n = 535). Working were assessed by six scales validated Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire (COPSOQ). was general short occupational (OSE) scale return-to-work (RTW-SE) scale, two specific forms self-efficacy. Multiple linear regression models calculated using as independent dependent variables. Interactions age, gender current extent work added those models.
