ABSTRACT
Abstract Purpose The primary aim was to determine Child Health Utility 9D (CHU9D) utilities from the Caregiver Priorities and Index of Life with Disabilities (CPCHILD) for non-ambulatory children cerebral palsy (CP). Methods One hundred eight surveys completed by Australian parents/caregivers CP were analysed. Spearman’s coefficients used investigate correlations between two instruments. Ordinary least square, robust MM-estimator, generalised linear models (GLM) four combinations families links developed estimate CHU9D either CPCHILD total score or domains scores. Internal validation performed using 5-fold cross-validation random sampling validation. best performing algorithms identified based on mean absolute error (MAE), concordance correlation coefficient (CCC), difference predicted observed means CHU9D. Results Moderate ( ρ 0.4–0.6) algorithm when considering a regression Gamma family logit link (MAE = 0.156, CCC 0.508). Additionally, GLM comfort emotion, quality life, health domain scores also well 0.152, 0.552). Conclusion This study established estimating CP. determined can be valuable quality-adjusted life years cost-utility analysis only instrument is available. However, further studies larger sample sizes external are recommended validate these findings.
