ABSTRACT
To develop an easy-to-use side-specific tool for the prediction of prostate cancer extracapsular extension (ECE) using clinical, biopsy, and MRI parameters.Retrospective analysis patients who underwent radical prostatectomy preceded by staging multiparametric was performed. Multivariate logistic regression used to choose independent predictors ECE. Continuous variables were transformed categorical ones choosing threshold values spline knots or testing thresholds in previously described models. Internal validation rule carried out as well other algorithms on our group performed. In analyzed period time, 88 164 met inclusion criteria. ECE evidenced at 41 (46.6%) 53 lobes (30.1%). In multivariate PSA, total percentage cancerous tissue cores (%PCa) maximum tumour diameter (MTD) Likert 3-5 lesions The following predicting proposed: %PCa ≥ 15% OR MTD 15 mm PSA 20 ng/mL. algorithm revealed safe lower confidence limits sensitivity NPV, proving that model offers accurate risk grouping can be safely decision-making.The developed this study makes fast, intuitive, side-specific. However, until validated externally it should with caution.
