ABSTRACT
Abstract Purpose Considering the importance of incorporating quality life (QoL) construct during health care patients with stage 5 chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis, it is necessary to have evidence clinimetric properties instruments used for its measurement. This study aimed establish Kidney Disease Quality Life Short Form 36 (KDQOL-36) scale in CKD dialysis Colombia. Methods A validation was conducted using classical test theory methodology. The statistical analysis included exploratory factor (EFA) and confirmatory (CFA) techniques performed two independent subsamples; concurrent criterion validity assessments; internal consistency four different coefficients; test–retest reliability; sensitivity change mixed model repeated measures. Results KDQOL-36 applied 506 a diagnosis attended five renal units EFA endorsed three-factor structure scale, CFA showed an adequate fit both original empirical models. Spearman's correlation coefficient values ≥0.50 were found between domains CKD-specific core KDQ. Cronbach's alpha, McDonald's omega, Greatest lower bound (GLB), Guttman's lambda coefficients ≥0.89, indicating high degree consistency. level concordance moments application instrument, Lin's ≥0.7. instrument after experiencing event that could modify statistically significant differences scores obtained. Conclusion measuring QoL Colombian dialysis.
