ABSTRACT
Aging represents the accumulation of progressive changes in a human being over time and can cover physical, psychological, social changes. It is an oxidative stress-associated process that progresses with age. The antioxidant activity either eugenol (EU) or carvacrol (CAR) for aging rats induced by D-gal 42 days was investigated current study using 10 20 mg EU/kg/day/orally, while CAR supplemented 40 80 /kg/day/orally. Biochemical, mRNA expression, histopathological assessments brain samples evaluated alterations protective role EU CAR. Results showed causing alternation recognized via upregulation p53 p21 expression levels, as markers Bax level, apoptotic marker. Also, results observed levels biochemical creatine phosphokinase (CPK) triacylglycerol (TAG), besides, enhancement capacity. Finally, these compared groups treated to observe potentially attenuate aging-related dose-dependent manner. we conclude supplementations are considered promising natural compounds could delay maintain health.
