ABSTRACT
The aim of the work was to develop and validate COVID-19 Risk Perception Scale (CoRP), a brief self-report questionnaire for individuals' perceptions risk in pandemic. Two studies were conducted order evaluate new scale's psychometric properties. Study 1 included 269 Italian participants (77.3% female) initially test structure construct validity. 2 involved 1061 (76.2% Italians aged 18 80 years old examined scale, validity, age invariance. Exploratory Confirmatory factor analyses confirmed one-factor solution, scale found be invariant across groups. also demonstrated high internal reliability. CoRP correlated positively with fear low Impact Event distressing phenomena as measured by GHQ. present thus affirms that is valid instrument measuring perception COVID-19.
