ABSTRACT
To explore the correlation between Cdx2 expression and clinicopathologic features of patients with gastric carcinoma, to evaluate role as a prognostic indicator carcinoma. The was studied using immunohistochemistry paraffin-embedded tumor specimens from 154 who underwent D2 resection for adenocarcinoma 1994 1998. detected in 35.1% (54 154) carcinoma cases. Expression significantly higher intestinal-type carcinomas than diffuse-type carcinomas, cases TNM stage I II those III IV (P<0.001 P=0.012, respectively). There clear negative lymph node metastasis (P=0.049). Cdx2-positive showed survival rate Cdx2-negative (P<0.0001). Multivariate analysis revealed that independent this series (P<0.001). These data suggest has significant value predicting prognosis
