ABSTRACT
Abstract In this paper the influence of ZnO shell thickness on luminescence properties Mn-doped ZnS nanoparticles is studied. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images showed that average diameter ZnS:Mn around 14 nm. The formation shells surface was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns, high-resolution TEM (HRTEM) images, and photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) measurements. A strong increase followed a gradual decline observed in room temperature photoluminescence (PL) spectra with thickening shell. excitation (PLE) exhibited blue shift ZnO-coated compared uncoated ones. It shown PL enhancement optimum wavelength are led ZnO-induced passivation compressive stress cores.
