ABSTRACT
One anastomosis gastric bypass (OAGB) is an effective and safe treatment for morbidly obese patients. Longer biliopancreatic (BP) limb length suggested to result in better weight loss outcomes, but date, no data are available the OAGB substantiate this. We hypothesized that applying a longer BP-limb higher BMI classes would more reduction so attained be comparable patients with lower BMI, thereby compensating differences baseline BMI.A retrospective cohort study who underwent primary at teaching hospital Netherlands between January 2015 December 2016. was tailored based on preoperative BMI. Patients were divided into three different groups depending of BP-limb: 150, 180, 200 cm. Weight outcomes after 1 3 years resolution comorbidities compared these groups.Of 632 included patients, 150 cm used 172 (27.2%), 180 388 (61.4%), 72 (11.4%) Despite loss, %EWL remained lengths. After adjustment confounder lengths not associated loss. There difference remission rates comorbidities.Attained spite tailoring according comorbidities.
