ABSTRACT
Abstract Purpose Previous studies showed that patients with lower weight loss after bariatric surgery could be identified based on early postoperative loss. However, these had only 12–36-month follow-up. This study aimed to explore whether in the lowest quartile at 3 months trajectories up 5 years Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB), banded (BRYGB), and sleeve gastrectomy (SG) surgery. Methods Weight was assessed preoperatively, 3, 6, 9, 12, 24, 36, 48, 60 postoperatively. Patients were grouped into four categories quartiles of percentage total (%TWL) 3-month Results compared between %TWL group other groups. underwent either RYGB ( n =13,106; 72%), SG =3585; 20%), or BRYGB =1391, 8%) remained than groups throughout a 5-year follow-up, for all three types higher age surgery, baseline BMI, more likely male (in group), suffer from diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, osteoarthritis. Conclusion positive association 12 used identify whose anticipated are below average, potentially improve their outcomes through behavioral medical interventions. Graphical
