ABSTRACT
Fatty acids containing a cyclopropane ring in their structure (cyclopropane FA) have been found wide variety of bacteria, number protozoa, and Myriapoda. Little is known about FA mammal, especially human tissues. The present study deals with the identification adipose tissue serum humans rats. extracted from obtained obese women during bariatric surgery were methylated analyzed on GC-MS. We identified: cyclopropaneoctanoic acid 2-hexyl, 2-octyl, cyclopropanenonanoic acid, 2-[[2-[(2-ethylcyclopropyl)methyl]cyclopropyl]methyl] tissue. confirmed presence 2-hexyl by derivatization to picolinyl esters. Cyclopropaneoctanoic was main (approximately 0.4 % total fatty tissue, 0.2 serum). In mainly triacylglycerols, whereas phospholipids triacylglycerols. has also serum, rats amounts comparable humans. content decreased maintained restricted diet for 1 month. conclusion, we demonstrated that serum. Adipose stored triacylglycerols storage this affected food restriction.
