ABSTRACT
Abstract Deep eutectic solvents are emerging green that have potential in many separation processes. This study investigates the performance of choline‐based deep extraction tocopherols and tocotrienols (collectively known as tocols) from palm oil, a major natural source tocols. comprised choline chloride salt selected carboxylic acids hydrogen bond donors were prepared used tocols crude oil by liquid–liquid extraction. Tocols concentration extracted product was at least double control (8671 mg/kg compared to 3285 mg/kg, respectively). Increasing amount increased up 18,525 but yields lowered 4 % less than 1 %. The profile significantly improved increase fraction products 80.8 99.8 showed unique interaction between with make it possible selectively separate individual where fractions rich low (particularly α‐tocopherol) favorable.
