Employment status among cancer survivors in a Late Effects Clinic in Denmark

ABSTRACT
Abstract Purpose This study aims to investigate changes in employment status among disease-free working-age cancer survivors (CSs) with late effects from diagnosis their first meeting the Late Effects Clinic (LEC) and associated patient-reported outcomes of reduced status. Methods Retrospective analysis a cohort CSs followed LEC at single institution January, 2022, March, 2023. Working-age no current evidence active were included this study. completed baseline questionnaire (EORTC QLQ-SURV100) before initial consultation. Reduced was defined as transition being paid work working fewer hours or not all visit. Multivariate linear regression used. Results A total 119 diverse types mean age 51 years (range 26 70) Eighty percent female. Of 93 diagnosis, 66 (71%) have lower role functioning score ( β = −12.3, p 0.046), higher loss income 35.1, 0.001), Global health − 8.3 , 0.05). Conclusions shows that majority seen is impaired quality life. Implications for Identifying treating early survivorship are important secure CSs’ labour market attachment and, thus, financial social well-being.
