ABSTRACT
Casting is the first step toward production of majority metal products whether final processing casting or other thermomechanical processes such as extrusion forging. The high shear melt conditioning provides an easily adopted pathway to producing castings with a more uniform fine-grained microstructure along distribution chemical composition leading fewer defects result reduced shrinkage porosities and presence large oxide films through microstructure. effectiveness in improving used industry illustrates versatility technology. application process direct chill twin roll demonstrated examples from magnesium melts.
