ABSTRACT
Despite the well-defined role of autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (autoHCT) in treatment patients with relapsed or refractory Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), relapse remains main cause transplant failure. We retrospectively evaluated long-term outcome and prognostic factors affecting survival 132 (n = 89) HL 43) treated autoHCT following modified BEAM. With a median follow-up 68 months, 10-year overall (OS) progression-free (PFS) were 76 66 %, respectively. The cumulative incidence second malignancies was 7 %. In multivariate analysis, age ≥45 years, more than one salvage regimens disease status at worse CR predictive for poor OS. HL, transplant, response duration (<12 vs. ≥12 months) number independent predictors PFS. setting, impacted risk inversely correlated PFS both (p 0.003 <0.001, respectively). >1 factor setting 5 11 respectively, comparison not reached 0-1 settings. conclude that high proportion relapsed/refractory can be cured autoHCT. However, presence two helps to identify prognosis who may benefit from novel strategies.
