ABSTRACT
Abstract In research and clinical contexts, it is important to briefly evaluate perceived Psychological Social Support (PSS) plan psychological interventions allocate efforts resources. However, an appropriate brief assessment tool for PSS was lacking. This study aimed at developing a accurate scale specifically measure in emergency with specific, relevant, targeted, irredundant items. Experienced clinicians developed the Psycho-Social Scale (PSSS) administered sample (N = 112) seeking help during COVID-19 emergency. A Confirmatory Factor Analysis examined PSSS internal structure, Multiple Indicator Causes model investigated its association number of sessions emotional symptoms. The showed good psychometric properties provided acceptable fit indexes unidimensional structure. Indicators revealed that more symptoms were associated lower scores. reliable PS could be useful individualize treatments (i.e., sessions) efficiently resources contexts emergencies (e.g., earthquake, pandemic).
