ABSTRACT
Abstract Attention to Same-Sex Intimate Partner Violence (SSIPV) has increased in the last decades. Isolating behaviors, however, have been poorly studied, despite vulnerability isolation experienced by gay and lesbian couples. The aim of present study was examine independent effects minority stressors (experiences discrimination, perceived stigma, internalized homonegativity), emotion dysregulation, adult attachment dimensions (attachment avoidance anxiety) on isolating behaviors perpetration. One hundred forty-eight or individuals (M age = 32.48; SD 10.91) involved a same-sex relationship participated completed self-report online questionnaire. A multiple regression model used between variables study. Only anxiety associated with behaviors. In contrast, avoidance, experiences homonegativity, dysregulation did not influence perpetration highlights suggesting role dysfunctional mechanisms interpersonal distance regulation. obtained results provide information at theoretical clinical level.
