ABSTRACT
Abstract Psychometric scales are useful tools in understanding people’s attitudes towards different aspects of life. As societies develop and new technologies arise, validated needed. Robots artificial intelligences various kinds about to occupy just every niche human society. Several measure fears anxieties robots do exist, but there is a definite lack hopes expectations for these technologies. Here, we create validate novel multi-dimensional scale which measures robots, giving equal weight positive negative attitudes. Our differentiates (a) comfort enjoyment around (b) unease anxiety (c) rational general (at societal level) (d) worries level). The was developed by extracting items from previous scales, crowdsourcing items, testing through 3 iterations exploratory factor analysis (Ns 135, 801 609) its final form the confirmatory (N: 477). We hope our will be instrument social scientists who wish study human-technology relations with efficient generalizable ways.
