ABSTRACT
Abstract We provide a survey on the joint European research project “GeoMetre”, which explores novel technologies and their inclusion to existing surveying strategies improve traceability of geodetic reference frames SI definition metre. This work includes development distance meters with range up 5 km, realisation optical multilateration systems for large structure monitoring at an operation 50 m beyond, strategy GNSS-based determination. Different methods refractivity compensation, based classical sensors, dispersion, spectroscopic thermometry, speed sound reduce meteorological uncertainties in precise measurements, are developed further characterised. These validated applied standard baseline EURO5000 Pieniny Kippen Belt, Poland, was completely refurbished intensely studied this project. use our instruments reduced uncertainty scale surveillance networks solutions local tie measurements space-geodetic co-location stations. also investigate approaches like close-range photogrammetry point determination telescopes. Finally, we gravity field consider deviations vertical data analysis coordinate transformations complex problem.
