ABSTRACT
Abstract A new rich and diversified ostracode fauna from the Torkoz area (section Hassi Mouf South, Moroccan Anti-Atlas) is described distribution near Early/Middle Devonian boundary discussed. This of a single limestone bed yields 32 taxa compared with less-diversified an adjacent parallel section South as well published conodont-bearing sample Torkoz. All three faunas are closely related, therefore, same latest Emsian age postulated. Palynomorphs (acritarchs prasinophytes) support this late Early scarce brachiopod equivalent level suggests stratigraphical position very close to Emsian/Eifelian boundary, probably Emsian. Zygobeyrichia subcylindrica thin marly embedded in shales, slightly below ostracode-rich conodonts patulus Zone Torkoz, favours within Yeraifia Formation not or on top Rich 4 Sandstone SW Dra Valley hitherto published. The belong shallow-water Eifelian Ecotype G. Becker. genus Karlingrella for Euglyphella ? granulosa Blumenstengel, 1962 species Quasillites ( Beckjennites ) gebeckeri erected.
