Clinicians’ use of breast cancer risk assessment tools according to their perceived importance of breast cancer risk factors: an international survey

ABSTRACT
The BOADICEA breast cancer (BC) risk assessment model and its associated Web Application v3 (BWA) tool are being extended to incorporate additional genetic non-genetic BC factors. From an online survey through the website UK, Dutch, French Swedish national societies, we explored relationships between usage frequencies of BWA six other common tools respondents' perceived importance Respondents (N = 443) varied in age, country clinical seniority but comprised mainly genetics health professionals (82%) users (93%). Oncology reproductive, hormonal (exogenous) lifestyle factors as more important compared (p values < 0.05 0.0001). was used frequently by respondents who gave high weight tumour pathology low personal history use positively related given attributed BMI not with or any tools. Next version encompassing will facilitate comprehensive oncology practice.
