ABSTRACT
Understanding of rainfall is an important issue for Uttarakhand, India which having varied topography and due to that extreme causes quick runoff warns structural functional safety large structures other natural resources. In this study, attempt has been made determine the best-fit distribution annual series data period 1991–2002 13 districts Uttarakhand. A such as Chi-squared, Chi-squared (2P), exponential, exponential gamma, gamma (3P), gen. value (GEV), log-Pearson 3, Weibull, Weibull (3P) distributions was applied. Comparisons best were based on use goodness-of-fit tests Kolmogorov–Smirnov, Anderson–Darling, Chi squared. Results showed performed with 46% total district, while second squared (2P) log-Pearson. The results study would be useful water resource engineers, policy makers planners agricultural development conservation resources
