ABSTRACT
Abstract A groundwater quality map serves as a deterrent mechanism that provides insight into likely environmental health predicaments. The objective of this study was to create and evaluate the changes in during period Erbil, Iraq. Based on 13 parameters, water index (WQI) calculated for 61 wells from 2015 2017 wet dry seasons. To generate WQI maps, two geostatistical analyst tools Geographical Information Systems, including Kriging Inverse Distance Weighted (IDW) were used. For determining most suitable method, statistical indices applied obtained data. results showed method increases prediction accuracy compared IDW method. decreased previous years increased 1.64% 11.47%. Untreated domestic industrial wastewater causes pollution which main reason decrease Erbil city.
