ABSTRACT
Abstract Environmental and commercial drivers are leading to a circular economy, where systems components routinely recycled or remanufactured. Unlike traditional manufacturing, typically have high degree of tolerance, in the remanufacturing process may seen decades wear, resulting wider variation geometries. This makes it difficult translate existing automation techniques perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for such autonomously. The challenge performing automated inspections, with off-line tool-paths developed from Computer Aided Design (CAD) models, arises fact that those paths do not required level accuracy. Beside CAD models less available old parts, these parts often differ their respective virtual models. paper considers flexible by combining part geometry reconstruction ultrasonic tool-path generation, Ultrasonic NDT. presents an approach custom vision-guided inspection components, which is achieved through integrating vision system purposely graphic user interface robotic work-cell. system, based on structure motion, allows creating 3D parts. Also, this work compares four different optimum image capture. used twin environment cell, enable select any points interest inspection. removes need offline robot path-planning orientation assessing specific locations part, very time-consuming phase.
