ABSTRACT
Abstract The new concept for operation of drones, published by EASA in 2015, enables ways to influence and possibly reduce the necessary safety targets certain system components without reducing overall unmanned aircraft (UAS). Based on assessment, specific category architectures mission designs. In this context, paper analyzes runtime monitoring as a strategy contain UAS its operational volume. To assure predefined properties flight thus progress with high robustness, formal methodology safe is utilized. With approach, work link upcoming regulations regarding risk assessment (SORA). One particular aspect geofencing, capability previously restricted area. regulatory framework operation, required so containment functional requirements geofencing their impact underlying are discussed. facilitate discussion, taxonomy characteristics derived based literature survey. Consequently, assessed robustness applicability certification purposes. As result, integrity at using an example, it investigated if costs development process remaining can be reduced.
