ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to explore the association Ki-67 and p53 expression with prognosis in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients who underwent curative resection. We retrospectively identified 116 consecutive stages I-III NSCLC resection at a single center from January 2007 December 2012. was assessed by immunohistochemistry. Data on clinicopathologic features survival were collected retrospectively. 109 samples 115 analyzed. According results, 108 (99 %) showed least some Ki-67. median level 30 %. Positive observed 91 (79 patients. Higher (>40 significantly more frequent male (26 vs. 4 % female, p=0.002), ever-smoker (31 10 never-smoker, p=0.024), non-adenocarcinoma (30 11 adenocarcinoma, p=0.012) In univariable analysis, disease-free (DFS) shorter higher (16.1 61.9 months those lower expression, p=0.005), did not show an DFS. Among 42 stage I receive adjuvant chemotherapy, DFS worse (2-year rate 57 88 %, p=0.018). Cox regression model, significant independent prognostic factor associated poorer (HR 2.9, 95 CI 1.3-6.2) along TNM age.
