ABSTRACT
The log odds of positive lymph nodes (LODDS) was defined as the ratio between number and negative nodes, which is a novel promising nodal staging system for gastric cancer. Here, we aimed to compare prognostic effect pN, node (LNR) LODDS. association overall survival LNR LODDS retrospectively analysed. discriminatory ability monotonicity gradients (linear trend χ 2 score), homogeneity (likelihood test) stratification (Akaike information criterion [AIC] receiver operating characteristic [ROC] curve) were compared among three systems. all identified independent factors cancer patients in multivariate analysis. showed best performance score 266.743, likelihood test 427.771, AIC value 5670.226, area under curve (AUC) 0.793), followed by pN. In with different levels retrieved (≤10, 11–14, 15–25 >25), most powerful prediction discrimination heterogeneity subgroups. Significant differences observed subgroups after being classified according pN classifications. appears be more predicting patients, may serve an alternative
