ABSTRACT
Abstract The UN Decade of Ecosystem Restoration is poised to trigger the recovery ecosystem services and transform structural injustices across world in a way unparalleled human history. inclusion diverse Indigenous local communities co-create robust native seed supply systems backbone achieve goals for Decade. Here we show how community-based organizations have co-developed strategies landscape restoration from bottom-up. We draw on interconnections over two decades networks Brazil emerging participation production Australia. From an environmental justice perspective, provide participatory approach engagement, noting geographical, social cultural contexts. Meeting large-scale requires connection between collaborative platforms negotiate roles, rights responsibilities stakeholders. An enduring must include diversity voices autonomy community groups that builds equitable social, economic, benefits.
