ABSTRACT
Based on a hydrostatic check, preliminary quality control procedure was applied to the hourly surface air pressure (SAP) and sea level (SLP) data from 13 observation stations in Tianjin, China. The daily monthly series of two pressures were tested for homogeneity with RHtestsV5 software package corrected by using temperature as reference. results showed that 5 3 had significant breakpoints their SAP SLP data, respectively, mainly caused station relocation. Quantile matching adjustments both dominated positive deviation corrections adjustments, probability densities > 0.2 concentrated ranges 0.02 1.80 −0.02 1.64 hPa. Comparison variances trends before after adjustment correction can greatly reduce influence abnormal discrete make long-term more reasonable. Taking Baodi (54525), which has most results, an example, trend amplitude adjusted increased 0.316 0.294 hPa (10 yr)−1 (95% confidence level), clearly weakening sudden reduction induced relocation this station. similar products better than those China Meteorological Administration. Therefore, reliability processing techniques have been improved.
