ABSTRACT
The scientific evaluation of the wetland biodiversity conservation function is basis balanced protection and development. Our research sought to provide references for ecological environments as well related planning management policies. study established a fitting model evaluating in Liaohe Delta, northeastern China. new model, Wetland Biodiversity Conservation Indicator (WBCI), was with four input factors, including vegetation coverage (VC), habitat suitability index (HI), land use cover (LULC) (LI), threat factor (TI) LULC type. values assigned HI TI were based on Integrated Valuation Ecosystem Services Tradeoffs (InVEST) quality models. weights all factors WBCI valued Principal Component Analysis (PCA). We evaluated Panjin, China, by using Gaofen-1 (GF-1) satellite data 2018, result verified InVEST other It showed that output map similar InVEST, higher-quality wetland, tidal flat, water body, forest, lower-quality types paddy field, crop construction land, used traffic. better areas less affected human disturbance, very abundant species good-quality habitat. poor impacted more frequent activities such cultivation, housing, traffic, which led landscape fragmentation. provided accurate reflection bird distribution than model. able reflect difference each grade, contrast net primary productivity (NPP) method models (SDMs). was, therefore, simpler suitable reflecting Delta.
