ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence rates mucopolysaccharidoses in Poland and compare them with other European countries. A retrospective epidemiological survey covering period between 1970 2010 implemented. Multiple ascertainment sources were used identify affected patients. overall Polish population 1.81 per 100,000. Five different diagnosed a total 392 individuals. MPS III most frequent mucopolysaccharidosis, birth 0.86 100,000 live births. approximately 0.22 cases births obtained for I. For II, estimated as 0.45 births; IV B 0.14 that VI 0.03 1. pattern mucopolysaccharidosis is lower when compared reported countries, such Netherlands, Czech Republic, or Germany, but similar countries like Sweden Denmark. 2.
