ABSTRACT
Abstract Bees are important insects both environmentally and economically. Despite this, most bee species poorly characterized regarding their morphology nesting habits, which relevant characteristics for planning management conservation. Plebeia flavocincta is a stingless that occurs in the Northeast region of Brazil there little knowledge about its biology. Here, we morphologically characterize workers from 54 colonies use seven to describe structure species’ nest. All nests were found seasonally dry forest areas different substrates, namely, hollow native trees, wall, post, wooden boxes. The nest was detailed terms number, shape, area combs; brood cell size; size food pots; honey volume. natural urban environments. similar other same genus. This first diagnosis study species. In addition, by establishing morphological data recognize , this provides useful information conservation plans
