ABSTRACT
The inhibitive effect of the aqueous extract Rothmannia longiflora (RL) on corrosion mild steel in 1 M HCl and 0.5 H2SO4 solutions was investigated by weight loss measurement as well potentiodynamic polarization electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements. found to efficiently inhibit process both environments inhibition efficiency increased with increasing concentration rise temperature. Data from measurements suggest that functioned adsorption organic matter metal/corrodent interface, inhibiting anodic cathodic half reactions process. result obtained this study clearly shows RL a good inhibitor for value concentration. surface acid solution obeyed Langmuir isotherm.
