ABSTRACT
The emission of air pollutants from ships large size is a key factor in quality state the surrounding areas to ports. work proposes methodology for assessing environmental impact maritime traffic on port areas, evaluating production and dispersion produced by marine engines during approach phase port. According current regulations, different scenarios have been analyzed, taking into account possibility fuel changeover, heavy oil (HFO) gas (MGO), approaching Emissions switch HFO MGO characterized. analysis takes most frequent routes moving towards away Different pollutant arriving departing considered, particular effect coastal zone adjacent results are represented graphically provide valuable insights quality. Such information may be seen as useful tools improvement legislation emissions.
