ABSTRACT
Studies during the last two decades have revealed involvement of epigenetic modifications in development human cancer. It is now recognized that interplay DNA methylation, post-translational histone modification, and non-coding RNAs can interact with genetic defects to drive tumorigenesis. The early onset, reversibility, dynamic nature such enable them be developed as promising cancer biomarkers preventive/therapeutic targets. In addition recent approval several therapies treatment cancer, emerging studies indicated dietary phytochemicals might exert chemopreventive effects by targeting mechanisms. this review, we will present current understanding alterations carcinogenesis highlight potential these mechanisms treat/prevent latest findings, published past three years regarding modulating also discussed.
