ABSTRACT
Abstract Purpose In 2015, an interdisciplinary project was started to fill the gap of knowledge on toxicokinetics aluminium (Al) after exposure from adjuvanted products for subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT). Methods Two complementary initiatives are explained. The results two studies reviewed and put in connection with overarching goal. An estimate is given which steps have been reached still needed. Results Recent vivo data provided evidence systemically available Al SCIT rats (Weisser et al. 2020 [1]). highly valuable further development physiology-based toxicokinetic (PBTK) model has established parallel (Hethey 2021 [2]). Conclusion Hethey important step towards prediction man various sources. For use risk assessment extension warranted.
