ABSTRACT
Abstract Aqueous Zn ion batteries (ZIBs) are promising in energy storage due to the low cost, high safety, and material abundance. The development of metal oxides as cathode for ZIBs is limited by strong electrostatic forces between O 2− 2+ which leads poor cyclic stability. Herein, Bi 2 S 3 proposed a rechargeable aqueous ZIBs. Improved stability fast diffusion observed. Also, layered structure with weak van der Waals interaction layers offers paths occupancy . As result, Zn/Bi battery delivers capacity 161 mAh g −1 at 0.2 A good cycling up 100 cycles ca. 100% retention. also demonstrates performance 80.3% over 2000 1 mechanism related reversible intercalation/extraction reactions capacitive contribution. This work indicates that shows great potential
