ABSTRACT
Abstract Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) are well-established therapeutics for gastrointestinal neoplasias, but complications after EMR/ESD, including bleeding perforation, result in additional treatment morbidity even threaten the lives of patients. Thus, designing biomaterials to treat gastric wound healing is highly desired remains a challenge. Herein, series injectable pH-responsive self-healing adhesive hydrogels based on acryloyl-6-aminocaproic acid (AA) AA-g-N-hydroxysuccinimide (AA-NHS) were developed, their great potential as sprayable bioadhesive materials efficiently stop hemorrhage promote process was further demonstrated swine hemorrhage/wound model. The showed suitable gelation time, an autonomous efficient capacity, hemostatic properties, good biocompatibility. With introduction AA-NHS micro-cross-linker, exhibited enhanced strength. A vivo model that performance by stopping acute arterial preventing delayed bleeding. indicated excellent effects with significantly type I collagen deposition, α-SMA expression, blood vessel formation. These wounds treatment.
