ABSTRACT
As the key component of wireless data transmission and powering, stretchable antennas play an indispensable role in flexible/stretchable electronics. However, they often suffer from frequency detuning upon mechanical deformations; thus, their applications are limited to sensing with capabilities remaining elusive. Here, a hierarchically structured microstrip antenna meshed patterns arranged arched shape showcases tunable resonance deformations improved overall stretchability. The almost unchanged during enables robust on-body communication RF energy harvesting, whereas rapid changing allows for sensing. proposed was demonstrated communicate wirelessly transmitter (input power - 3 dBm) efficiently (i.e., receiving higher than 100 dBm over distance m) on human bodies even 25% stretching. flexibility structural engineering combined coupled mechanical-electromagnetic simulations, provides versatile toolkit design other potential devices
