ABSTRACT
Abstract Phytopathometry can be defined as the branch of plant pathology (phytopathology) that is concerned with estimation or measurement amount disease expressed by symptoms signs a pathogen on single group specimens. critical for many reasons, including analyzing yield loss due to disease, breeding resistance, evaluating and comparing control methods, understanding coevolution, studying epidemiology ecology. underpins all activities in extends into related disciplines, such agronomy, horticulture, breeding. Considering this central role, phytopathometry warrants status formally recognized pathology. The glossary defines terms concepts used based visible structures includes those commonly visual severity sensor-based methods measurement. Relevant from intersecting disciplines science, statistics, psychophysics, robotics, artificial intelligence are also included. In particular, new, broader definition proposed “disease severity,” measurement” estimate” specifically defined. It hoped contributes more unified cross-discipline approach research in, application tools available phytopathometry.
