ABSTRACT
Abstract DNA storage is a new digital data technology based on specific encoding and decoding methods between 0 1 binary codes of A-T-C-G quaternary DNAs, which expected to develop into major form in the future due its advantages (such as high density, long time, low energy consumption, convenience for carrying, concealed transportation multiple encryptions). In this review, we mainly summarize recent research advances four main technology: direct mapping method early-stage, fountain code higher logical inner outer random access data, CRISPR mediated vivo method. The first three encoding/decoding belong vitro storage, representing mainstream application storage. Their disadvantages are also reviewed: easy efficient, but has error rate density; can achieve density without access; error-correction design realize at expense logic density. This review provides important references improved understanding methods. Development efficient accurate will play very even decisive role transition from laboratory practical application, may fundamentally change information industry future.
