ABSTRACT
Abstract The article endeavours to establish improved design practices in the development of textile products and explore utilisation sustainable materials future. Through a comprehensive literature review, valuable information data were gathered reflect upon gain essential knowledge about biomaterials. study aims address question what new skills designers need acquire order effectively select these for their projects. Subsequently, by studying characterising various such as biopolymers from polyester group, natural fibres next-generation materials, broader, more robust clearer understanding this emerging materiality was achieved. In conjunction with principles Design Sustainability, further integrates concepts circular economy bioeconomy, encompassing extended product life cycle, material flows, dematerialization (recycling reuse) judicious use raw materials. This research has identified critical linkages between attributes that can significantly influence selection process. These insights are pivotal guiding towards informed pragmatic decision-making, facilitating forward-thinking Overall, offers practical guidance seeking incorporate biomaterials projects, thus fostering environmentally conscious innovative approach development.
