ABSTRACT
Abstract Besides climate-smart agriculture’s (CSA) potential to meet the world’s increasing food demands in face of climate variability through sustainably production, its acceptance among farmers is still low. This could be partly because limited insight into contextual underpinnings uptake. Therefore, purpose this study was establish relationship between selected socioeconomic factors and adoption CSA Gilgil Sub-County. study’s results were attained from a binary logistic regression model, using sample 120 smallholder potato two wards Sub-County Nakuru County, Kenya. An analysis five hypothesized explanatory variables contained model disclosed that CSAPs statistically significant at 5% level significance (χ 2 = 17.966, df 5, p < 0.05). It further revealed only had with CSAPs. Among these, included gender which negative (Wald χ 6.701, 1, 0.05) annual farm income, positive 8.402, securing access vital resources for women indispensable enhance their capacity compliance adjust production methods response change.
