ABSTRACT
Recently, biodegradable aminopolycarboxylic acid chelating agents have attracted attention as an alternative to environmentally persistent such ethylenediamine-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic acid. However, the detection of requires complexation with metals or derivatization by esterification reagents, and their direct using currently available analytical methods still represents a challenge. Herein, we describe method for ethylenediamine-N,N'-disuccinic acid, 3-hydroxy-2,2'-iminodisuccinic methylglycine-N,N'-diacetic N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)-L-glutamic via ultra-performance liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization quadrupole/time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Satisfactory retention separation good peak shape were successfully achieved metal-free hydrophilic interaction chromatographic column. The calibration curves showed linearity in range 1.0-50 μM correlation coefficients greater than 0.9988. limits ranged from 0.04 0.12 μM. Furthermore, developed could be applied quantitative analysis four biodegradation photodegradation experiments at laboratory level. proposed method, which offers advantages quickness, sensitivity, requiring no complicated pretreatment steps, is expected contribute significantly practical environmental water samples.
