ABSTRACT
Herein, we demonstrate the preparation of magnetic polyamide 11 feedstock powders for powder bed fusion (PBF) using liquid-liquid phase separation and crystallization. By adding nanomaterials during precipitation process, particulate additive is incorporated into polymer matrix. This enables production filled systems at single particle level, which advantageous in terms adjustable strength homogeneity powder. Thermogravimetric analysis used to determine content onset temperature decomposition composite powders, where additive-enhancement PA11 with iron oxide nanoparticles showed a positive influence on thermal stability feedstock. Successive size distribution, shape, colour, crystal structure, properties are carried out their discussed respect PBF process. A decrease size, width process window isothermal crystallization time can be attributed nucleating effect additive. The processability demonstrated by tensile bar specimens from additive-enhanced 1 wt.-% oxide.
